Spotted Now | DC’s Top Purveyors of Fashion
CFAE has been on the hunt for some of the best and most accessible trends for F/W 2017, and we believe we have found them. Staying true to our mission, we hit the mean streets of DC and identified three independently owned boutiques that represent the best fashion as seen perusing the streets of the nation’s capital.
Founded by native Washingtonian Lori Parkerson, Redeem has been serving cutting edge ready to wear apparel since they first opened their doors in 2006. Staying true to their mission to support unsung brands that are unique and fun, Redeem’s curated pieces keep you at attention and coming back for more.
Clean Understated Lines:
An institution among the DC “IT” crowd, Lettie Gooch works within an aesthetic that is eclectic and creative with surprises of color that never disappoint. A DC retail pioneer with more than 10 years in the game, Theresa Watts, owner of Lettie Gooch has amazing sense of what’s hot and of the moment making her a perfect forecaster for what’s next.
Prints That Inspire:
Another DC independent retail heavyweight is HU’s Wear located in the heart of historic Georgetown. Since opening their doors, owner Marlena Hu has proven to DC’s fashion glitterati that Washington is more than politics. Marlena has done more than raise the fashion bar she has started a fashion revolution. Who knew brands like Valentino and Kenzo could co-exist comfortably in a city where conservatism reigns supreme.
